Cravens House Loop Trail is 9 miles north of here on historic Lookout Mountain. It’s a 3.4 mile moderately trafficked loop trail that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible year-round.

Cloudland Canyon State Park is about 15 minutes away. There’s several hiking trails and majestic views. One of my favorites is Sitton’s Gultch trail at the foot of the mountain.

Gordon Lee Mansion is only a 16 minute drive away from here in the quaint historic town of Chickamauga, GA. You'll learn a lot about Civil War history from the perspective of a plantation owner.

Just 10 miles away, you can "See Rock City." I take my grandkids there every year for the "Enchanted Garden of Lights." The cousins are still young enough for it to be a novelty each time!

You can get to Point Park through the Incline or hiking up the Craven's house trail. But feel free to drive up Lookout Mountain to enjoy Civil War history and see a panoramic view of Chattanooga and Moccasin Bend.

There's so much to see and do in Chattanooga. Just to name a few: TN Aquarium; Riverwalk; Ghost Tours; Historic District. This is also the place for the Ironman Competition each year in May in which the bicycling goes right through Flintstone, GA.

You can take hwy 341 and travel 6 miles away to the little town of Chickamauga. It's quaint and historic making you think you're walking back in time. You'll get a feel for southern culture for sure.
