Throop Mill is a traditional water mill situated by the River Stour. We love going for walks along the river with our dog. We often spot the Kingfisher in the trees, and the Swan's with their ducklings swimming along. We are often met by like minded local dog walkers who are always happy to stop for a chat.

This is probably our most favourite place to visit for a relaxed but long walk. It is an ideal place to take your furry friends too. Situated between Bournemouth and Mudeford and its' head jutting out into the English Channel. We enjoy the great views from the top of the head, a lovely walk through the woodland, or a stroll along the beach. There is a lovely array of beach huts to admire and plenty of foods and drink stops to keep you fuelled up. There is also a train if you would prefer a trip back to the car park. We also love popping on the ferry across to Mudeford Quay.

Hengistbury Head
This is probably our most favourite place to visit for a relaxed but long walk. It is an ideal place to take your furry friends too. Situated between Bournemouth and Mudeford and its' head jutting out into the English Channel. We enjoy the great views from the top of the head, a lovely walk through the woodland, or a stroll along the beach. There is a lovely array of beach huts to admire and plenty of foods and drink stops to keep you fuelled up. There is also a train if you would prefer a trip back to the car park. We also love popping on the ferry across to Mudeford Quay.

Family Days Out
My son absolutely loved this place from a toddler and until he was around 8 years old. There is so much to see and do from indoor soft play, go karting, meet the animals, tractor rides, woodland walk, maze and so much more. It is not suitable for older children tho! It is a fair price and you can easily spend a whole day there. There is a cafe with hot food available however you can take a picnic too.

Wareham RoadMy son absolutely loved this place from a toddler and until he was around 8 years old. There is so much to see and do from indoor soft play, go karting, meet the animals, tractor rides, woodland walk, maze and so much more. It is not suitable for older children tho! It is a fair price and you can easily spend a whole day there. There is a cafe with hot food available however you can take a picnic too.

Dog friendly
Enjoy a short boat trip from Poole Harbour to Brownsea Island and take in the spectacular views across the Purbeck Hills. Brownsea island is the home to the rare Red Squirrel and plenty of beautiful Peacocks.
There are camping and picnic areas, nature trails, a cafe and gift shop for you to explore on Brownsea Island. We really love this place. It offers something for everyone to enjoy and plenty of space to spread out.

LongthornsIf you like to be amongst nature and love to see the monkey's then Monkey World is perfect. It is an ideal family day out for all ages, with a cafe, play park and lots of different monkey's to see from around the world. We love watching them as they go about their daily activities and interact with each other and their trainers.
At Poole Park we enjoy going out on the lake in the pedal boats, playing a some crazy or 18 hole golf, and feeding ducks. However, there is still so much more to do including tennis courts, cafe, soft-play and iceskating rink.

This is a great value day for the kids. I would say this place suits children under 10 years old with it's indoor softplay, theme park rides, play park, shows, maze and oodles of space to have a picnic.

Other activities include a Vertical Slide drop, a ‘Leap of Faith’ jumping challenge, a HighLine high ropes aerial obstacle course and the Pier Cave which is a 65-linear metre indoor fun cave experience.

Poole Quay is the second largest natural harbour in the world. We love walking through the old town with its' cobbled streets, and idyllic shops and atmosphere. We enjoy the local fish and chips whilst watching the large boats come in and out of the harbour.

Great award winning Blue Flag Beach, great local seafood landed in the harbour, various festivals, cobbled streets with plenty of local shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Looks idyllic with the Georgian houses along the seafront.
