If you are looking for a fancy dinner Hy's is a must have as they ate famous for their steaks and serves beef wellington thats on par to Gordon Ramseys. They also have amazing service and table side apps or desserts.
It is also in the downtown core right in Core mall and Stephen Avenue Walk (Also called 8 Ave). Stephen Ave is a bustling pedestrian walkway lined with art, eateries, shopping & entertainment venues. Great for a night walk/stroll.

They serve large portions and have great variety of foods and drinks.
My favourite drink combination is to make SoMek = Soju + Beer, best to use plain flavour soju like Fresh/Chum Churum mixed with Canadian/Sapporo beer 1:5 ratio. You can also try their house made soju if you prefer something less strong and taste like juice.
Top 3 foods would be their Spicy stir-fried pork belly with squid (O-sam Bulgogi), Spicy Rice cake w/ Cheese and noodles (Cheese Rabboki) and Spicy Sausage Stew (Budae Jjigae). They are not served with rice and each dish is good for 2-4 people depending on how much one eats not super spicy but you can ask for less spice.

Driving/scooters are the best to get around
Driving is the best options as train and bus schedules are limited and sometimes not accurate. When down town it’s best to try out the electric scooters. Make sure to download apps “bird” or “neuron” to ride around and find locations

Buying train tickets ahead of time.
Download the "My Fare" app for Calgary transit. You can pre-buy your fare tickets through the app and cash out as a guest. Therefore, you won't need to buy one or look for one at train stations.
Once you purchase your ticket you have 7 days to "activate" the ticket and use it on the train/bus. Once it is activated you have 90 minutes to use it within the time frame making sure it doesn't expire until you have reached your destination as you can get stopped by fare inspectors.
