There's a quarter mile hike through the jungle to get to the beach. Do not park on Government Beach Road. The only way in is to bike there or have someone drop you off. This is one of our favorite places and definitely worth checking out. Your host can give you a ride for $50.

These are magma heated hot springs and so refreshing! These hot springs formed after the 2018 eruption. You can see where the lava almost took out the entire beach. Theres a beach here also but you can only swim during high tide.

There's a steep trail down lava rocks to get to this beach. It's clothing optional. The beach is amazing and you boogie board & can snorkel. Its 10 miles from us. There's a drum circle on Sundays with vendors.

We have mountain biked here and it's wild! There's also the option to hike the perimeter trail which is moderate difficulty level. It's a 3.5 round trip hike.

VERY treacherous 3 mile drive to the swimming area. You need 4 wheel drive to access or you can walk. Ask Logan about his Ultimate South Point tour which includes the Punaluu Black Sand Beach/Ninole Cove & lava viewing at HVNP. $350 for 4 people plus gas. (It's a tight fit for 4 but people can be transported in the back of a truck in Hawaii. However, it rains frequently here)
