I used to work here, a long time ago. I still very much like this place, with lots of second hand things to look at (and to buy) while drinking a coffee and eating the best apple pie.

It is a very symphatic place, with great coffee. Also if you want to walk to the Jordaan (city centre, around 25 min.) it might be a welcome stop before walking around the centre.

Haven't been, however always wanted too. It is a new restaurant, and it should be good! If you don't like it, you can walk towards the city and see two good restaurants (i think, because they are new)

I like the NDSM, there are two galleries, f.e. Nieuw Dakota. The eye is a filmhouse, with also an exhibition place. Take a bike route as well, to the cows. http://www.ilovenoord.com/
