We highly recommend a fabulous walk from Mermaid Cottage, along the South Coast Path to Portland Bill. The Lobster Pot is a popular reward, for ice-cream, afternoon tea or a hearty something and chips. If too full to walk home the open top bus makes a wonderful alternative way to travel home. Or if you are not a keen walker, it’s a 5 minute car tri!

A drink at The Cove House on Chesil Beach makes for a lovely end to the day. The Cove house also serves very nice food but worth booking ahead to avoid disappointment as it can get very busy in the Summer
