Hikes and Adventures

Distance - 1 Hour 15 minutes | A lovely forest hides this natural gem. There are multiple pools of cobalt-blue color and a waterfall. The hike is 4.5 miles round trip and is rated as moderate (636 ft elevation gain). In the winter the road is closed a mile and a quarter from the trailhead, so the hike is extended – ends up being about 7.5 miles round trip. In the winter the trail can be icy and slippery coming down so spikes would be recommended. If you are planning to hike down after dark please be prepared with food, water, and headlamps. Please note service can be spotty in this area and sometimes parking can be difficult.

Distance - 15 minutes | This hike is relatively short but steep. The hike is relatively 2.5 miles round trip with nearly 1,00 feet of elevation gain. At the top you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the SLC valley. At the viewpoint, you’ll see “furniture” created by other hikers out of the large flat sandstone slabs. There are several “chairs” and “couches” complete with armrests and ottomons. This is a great place to watch sunset – don’t forget to bring your headlamps for the hike down!
