Weston is a quaint little town that has local shops, wineries and the McCormick Distillery. Several times a year they host city events that really bring our the personality of the town.

St Joe has a lot of history to offer. The Pony Express began here, and Jesse James ended here. We have a lot of museums with a lot of hands on exhibits. Our downtown is very historic and many of the building are designed beautifully.

A few movies have also been filmed in St Joseph: Paper Moon (1973, starring Ryan O'Neal and his daughter Tatum); Christmas at the Chateau (2018), filmed at the Shakespeare Chateau in downtown St. Joe. Accidental Family is another movie shot in mid-2021, which hasn't been released yet.

Atchison is another old town know for its ghost stories. It is proclaimed the most haunted town in Kansas, and a haunted homes tour is available in the Atchison Trolley. The town is full of stories about ghostly sightings and other paranormal events. "Sallie's House" at the Benedictine College was featured on the Travel Channel.
It is also the birthplace of Amelia Earhart. Each July they hold an Amelia Earhart festival.

Jamesport is our local Amish town. There are several country and antique stores in town as well as Amish stores located outside of town in their houses.
