Sightseeing
Nice views, uninterrupted bike rides or walks along the water for miles. Especially recommended for biking, this is by far the best way to see a lot of Manhattan without riding in traffic. And with just a few blocks on city streets, you can cross the Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges for astonishing cityscapes and to visit Brooklyn.

2 Blocks away, a great way to escape traffic, get some exercise, and see some iconic bridges, neighborhoods, and unusual sites. If you're up for a long or short bike ride, you can start here and keep going around the tip of Manhattan, past the iconic Wall Street and World Trade Center areas, and continue up the West side of Manhattan with beautiful views all the way to the George Washington Bridge and beyond, all without riding in traffic.

For many years this park was the epicenter of the protest movements and counterculture activities. Now peaceful and beautiful, there's even a family of hawks that share a nest on the east side of the park, near 8th St.
