On the quiet days though the pools are perfect for toddler swimming, fishing, dolphin spotting and beach walks. This stunning river flows out to see, winding its way through stringy barks and offering multiple camping/picnic/fishing locations. A new swing bridge is worth a look and there is great BBQ facilities and toilets.

Brown's Beach is a short 5 minute drive from our shack and has a great sheltered BBQ area, safe swimming, beautiful forest walk and lots of camping spaces. If you venture for a long walk along the beach you will be rewarded with beautiful shells and great snorkelling spots.

A historical monument with great details about the first explorers who discovered Kangaroo Island, and a fabulous place to go for a rock scramble and rock-pool adventure. Protected from the South Westerly winds it is a great picnic spot whilst watching the ferry come and go from Penneshaw.
