Charlotte and I have eaten at Cafe Soleil several times before and after hiking in Zion National Park. It's conveniently located just outside the park's main entrance and the food was tasty. Utah and spending her summers at Bryce Canyon with her grandparents. Her grandmother oversaw the daily operations of the curio shop and her grandfather was a park ranger there in the 1960's-70's.

The town's rich history and the many historical buildings and homes that have been preserved so well take you back the the simpler life. Drive or stroll down main street and stop at Frei's fruit stand and the Santa Clara Glockenspiel with figures that twirl (like a larger than life cuckoo clock (google it) every hour on the hour atop the city office building. The home of Jacob Hamblin, the first to settle Santa Clara in 1854 is still standing and open for tours. This area of Santa Clara is a treasure.
