Greene River Trail

This unique place was originally built as a family home in 1857 and was later converted into the County Poor Farm (Almshouse) during the Civil War. Today the main building houses 52 rooms of historical exhibits depicting life on the poor farm as well as Georgian and Victorian rooms that illustrate life in the 19th century and lots of local history.
The museum prides itself on educating visitors on over 10,000 years of regional history, including a large Native American Collection.
