Boating
The canal behind the property offers Gulf access with no locks and no bridges. Our seawall is boat-friendly with heavy-duty boat bumpers and tie-downs so we can accommodate a 35 ft. boat. An angled ladder allows you to easily bring down your Kayaks into the water.
Matlacha Island is a 40-minute boat ride from the house. Additionally, you can enjoy these boating activities:

Some getting around tips
Everything you need here is VERY close by, groceries 9 minutes away and easy to get to, and all sorts of great places on Matlacha 12 minutes away.
Whenever traveling to Pine Island or Matlacha Island, you can take Burnt Store Rd or Old Burnt Store Rd. Old Burnt Store Road is a nicer drive but has slower speeds. Less traffic and slightly less distance. We suggest taking OLD Burnt Store Road
If you are adventurous, wear bug spray. We also use a lotion called “Skin So Soft”. We have provided a little for you to get your trip started.

Want to go kayaking?

We've placed an angled ladder by the canal which allows you to easily bring down your Kayaks into the water. Or, if you prefer, you can bring your Kayaks to the ramps at Sirenia Vista Park or Matlacha ramp. Matlacha is a GREAT place to kayak because of restaurants and shops, and there are good places to park your vehicle.

Need a driver or car rental?
A friend/neighbor that lives 5 minutes from the property has a Mercedes Benz SUV for rent or to drive you if you prefer. He can pick you up from the airport or meet you to drop off the car at the airport. Or you can call him for rides if you prefer a rider instead. Contact info:
