The nearby sea has a numerous large and small islands. One of the islands, New Hellesund, is nationally renowned for its charming old houses from the 1600's. It used to be a sheltered harbor for tall ships and pirats. Trond Moi, a famous norwegian chef, runs one of his many retaurants here, Bølgen & Moi. A small ferry goes out to the islands, and Ny Hellesund, , several times a day. It leaves from Høllen. A Must see.

Høllen, has a little shop on the pier. There´s a boardwalk between Høllen and the harbour. Many islanders comes in for fueling and shopping - Ice cream and relaxing. We highly recomend this walk, as it is a very scenic and beautiful one.
