Food scene
One of my very favorite local spots!! A beautiful, sweet little bakery in an old historic home. It's run by a Brazilian man, with a Brazilian/Portuguese focus. Awesome food and coffee/tea drinks. This is THE spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. There's also a lovely patio and garden eating space. Kid friendly. Crowded on weekends.

This is my favorite spot for breakfast tacos! They have an extensive weekend brunch menu as well. Their basic lunch/dinner menu is better-than-average Tex Mex, but in my opinion it's the breakfast tacos and brunch that are their go-tos!

703 US-183This is my favorite spot for breakfast tacos! They have an extensive weekend brunch menu as well. Their basic lunch/dinner menu is better-than-average Tex Mex, but in my opinion it's the breakfast tacos and brunch that are their go-tos!
Great little locally-run Cajun/New Orleans influenced bistro, with a Texas twist. Food is very good - service can sometimes be a little spotty.

If you're craving Indian food or Nepalese momos, this place is AWESOME!! Don't let its location in the back corner of a gas station fool you LOL. I get takeaway from this place at least twice a month. SO good! (Hint: their spice level is high so I would stick with your level or even one below).

There are a few nearby good sushi spots (Sushi Fever is another) but Kai is my go-to spot. It's also the closest, but I think the best. Super nice people that run it, too.

GREAT burgers! This place is so yummy. Everyone in Austin always oohs and aahs over Hopdoddy - but even though it's good, I like Moonie's just a little better.

Very cool outdoor gathering area with food trucks and live music on the weekends. The bar is in an old school bus. There's also a farmer/artisan market on Saturday mornings. Super fun!
