About 20 min by car from Tromsø.
You can also take route 42 from town or «Bjørnstrand» to «Eidkjosen» and then 425 to «Ersfjordbotn».
In summer: if you want to walk to the top of «Nattmålstind» you need to stop just 1-2 km before Ersfjordbotn. When you see the football court and parking place, you can park there. Then walk on the path beside the court (the side closest to the ocean/Towards Ersfjordbotn) Then follow the path and the red marks on the stones, and «varder» up hill, to the top. Enjoy the view if the weather allows it. About 1-2 h walk to the top.

Reccomended, as its a fantastic view at the top. You can also walk to the top and/or down again. In winter use spikes on your shoes, you can buy them in any shoeshop:)
There are sherpabuilt stairs most of the way.
Take bus 20 or 24 from «Grøholtvegen» (At Dramsvegen) to «Kongsbakken» and then route 28 to «Hjorten» ( at the map) walk 11 min to the sherpa stairs.

Reccomended, as its a fantastic view at the top. You can also walk to the top and/or down again. In winter use spikes on your shoes, you can buy them in any shoeshop:)

When you come to the water you will also see the glacier that gives the water the clear blue color. Its possible to walk on the glacier ( guided tour, you need to order in advance)
