Sprawling, 250-acre park built on former factory grounds featuring hiking trails, a museum & lakes.
This is such a cool and vast park! Too much to see all in one day by foot. Ascend the winding staircase up the smokestack. Catch the sunset around the pond. The right time of the year you might even hear a bagpipe concert! Great place for the kids to run around while you enjoy a walk.

The Kokosing Gap Trail is a paved, 14-mile recreational trail built on a former Pennsylvania Railroad line with endpoints in Mount Vernon and Danville, Ohio. Visitors will traverse the Kokosing River twice on railroad bridges more than 250 feet long with forests, wetlands, agriculture and villages along the way.

The Kokosing Gap Trail is a paved, 14-mile recreational trail built on a former Pennsylvania Railroad line with endpoints in Mount Vernon and Danville, Ohio. Visitors will traverse the Kokosing River twice on railroad bridges more than 250 feet long with forests, wetlands, agriculture and villages along the way.

Hiawatha Water Park is a super fun water park. It is clean and well attended. There is a a kids section with lots to do for little ones and bigger kids. And there's an adult section with diving boards.
