BENCHMARK recommendation. Nobody, anywhere, uses the quality ingredients that this lady does. And she's a perfectionist, which means it always looks right and tastes mind-blowing. Cookies, ice creams, cupcakes- depends on the season. Summertime it's just the most amazing ice cream, due to its got-more-cream-than-anybody else philosophy. (I think it's pushing 18-20%). Do yourself an indulgence and Do. This. Thing.

Great restaurant in the Alberta Arts District. Really, really good food any time of day. And the bartender changed my life with her recommendation for a warmed chocolate croissant with their house-made raspberry jam to go with my coffee a few years back. My toes still curl when I think of that.

Dosalas sets a high bar for dedication to good food & quality surroundings. Spendy, but worth it for the tapas, the cocktails, and the view. We recommend getting reservations for the outside as well as planning on spending some money- two tapas per person is plenty, but you'll probably want to order more because they are so tasty. Definitely the more people you go with the better the experience. At the time we visited they were still developing a Happy Hour menu; with their commitment to being a destination spot we're confident it'll be worth checking out, too.

Breakfast at a newer member of the growing Amaro restaurant creations. Fresh, high quality all the way around. After two visits we can't choose a favorite just yet because everything we've had has been so good. Reservations recommended, but usually not absolutely necessary if you get there the first hour or so when they open.
