Beach
This is a lovely beach with enclosed swimming area and dock in the summer. It has a small play structure right on the beach. There is also a fantastic and highly recommended beach-front restaurant, The Beach House, directly adjacent to the beach. This is approximately a 15 minute drive from our suite.

This is a fun, busy beach with a casual cafe/restaurant, a playground, a large grassy field and of course, a beach! It is connected to a "sea wall" walk that will take you all the way to Dundarave Beach. A highly recommended walk. I believe it's about 3 km from Ambleside to Dundarave. This beach is approximately a 15 min drive from our suite.

Ambleside Dog Beach
This is a fun, busy beach with a casual cafe/restaurant, a playground, a large grassy field and of course, a beach! It is connected to a "sea wall" walk that will take you all the way to Dundarave Beach. A highly recommended walk. I believe it's about 3 km from Ambleside to Dundarave. This beach is approximately a 15 min drive from our suite.
This beach is located in Stanley Park, over the Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver. It is about a 20 min drive from our suite (traffic dependent, of course). I recommend this beach because there is also a fantastic beach side, salt water pool (you must pay for entry) right on the beach. It's a great spot to spend a sunny summer day! There is, of course, also a sandy beach adjacent. For food, there is a cafeteria style cafe, with delicious fish and chips as well as other cafeteria style options (burgers, etc)

Second Beach Swimming Pool
735 Stanley Park DrThis beach is located in Stanley Park, over the Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver. It is about a 20 min drive from our suite (traffic dependent, of course). I recommend this beach because there is also a fantastic beach side, salt water pool (you must pay for entry) right on the beach. It's a great spot to spend a sunny summer day! This beach is a bit of a farther trek from our suite, I would say 30-45 mins (traffic dependent). But, it is worth the journey. A lovely sandy beach with sandy-bottom swimming. And also, a lovely beach side salt water pool! There is a cafe and restaurant adjacent. Also, it is in the trendy and urban area of Kitsilano so there are plentiful restaurant and shopping options whilst in the area, particularly on 4th Avenue.

1499 Arbutus StThis beach is a bit of a farther trek from our suite, I would say 30-45 mins (traffic dependent). But, it is worth the journey. A lovely sandy beach with sandy-bottom swimming. And also, a lovely beach side salt water pool! There is a cafe and restaurant adjacent. Also, it is in the trendy and urban area of Kitsilano so there are plentiful restaurant and shopping options whilst in the area, particularly on 4th Avenue.
This is a lovely (but rocky, not sandy) beach in North Vancouver. Situated in beautiful Deep Cove, it has stunning views out to the Indian Arm inlet. Great for swimming with kids.

The Grouse Mountain "Super Sky Ride" (tram) is only a 10 min drive from our suite. This is an all-season mountain with skiing and snowboarding in the winter and amazing wildlife viewing (think Grizzly bears and birds galore) as well as other shows (The Lumberjack show is highly recommended) in the summer.
