Back Bay Cafe
This is my favorite breakfast place. It's in Los Osos, about 8 miles from the house, situated on the bay. It's essentially a coffee house with wonderful food at a reasonable price.
Frankie and Lola's is only open for breakfast and lunch. Their breakfast is really interesting and tasty!

Taco Temple is my favorite casual restaurant in Morro Bay. They do a great job with fish but have other entrees as well. Be careful how you order, they give you a lot of food. One fish taco is sufficient for most people. Their crab cake taco is also really good.

2680 Main StTaco Temple is my favorite casual restaurant in Morro Bay. They do a great job with fish but have other entrees as well. Be careful how you order, they give you a lot of food. One fish taco is sufficient for most people. Their crab cake taco is also really good.

There are a few things to do down by the rock: Check out the otters on the bay side of the rock. During high surf it's fun to walk out the end of the road and watch the crashing waves.

The Elephant Seals are simply disgusting, interesting and fun! I would suggest a trip up highway 1 taking in the zebras by Hearst Castle, Elephant Seals and going a bit further to Ragged Point in Big Sur for lunch and views.

The Elephant Seals are simply disgusting, interesting and fun! I would suggest a trip up highway 1 taking in the zebras by Hearst Castle, Elephant Seals and going a bit further to Ragged Point in Big Sur for lunch and views.
Parks & Nature
Montana De Oro has nice beaches and great trails. Do the Point Buchon trail if you have a chance. It's on PG&E property and requires you to sign in. It's closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Kayaking the bay is fantastic! There's tons of birds out there and a visit to the sand spit is a must.
