It's pretty and connected to the hikeable "M" you'll see on the mountainside. To be careful, however, the campus security are predatory when it comes to issuing parking tickets.

Hike up this hill (~ 45 minutes up, 20 down) and get a good view of the city and valley in the a.m or early evening. Be mindful of the campus parking "cops", they are beyond predatory. Instead, park at Albertson's across the bridge.

The Historic Curry Cabin and Sawmill Gulch Loop offers a great introduction to the Rattlesnake. The hike is less than six miles and hits four significant drainages: Sawmill Gulch, Curry Gulch, Spring Gulch, and Rattlesnake Creek.

There are 4-5 locations scattered throughout the city. Mexico? I've never been myself but Alaskan Cod in a taco is how we do things around here in mountain country.
