The amazing outdoor diversity of Escalante!
Lower Calf Creek Falls is a 5.7 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Boulder, Utah that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and running and is accessible year-round.
At the end of the trail is a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole- but only if you dare brave the cold water!
Start early if you want a parking space, otherwise you may have to park on the road and add some distance to your hike.
If hiking July-September pack plenty of water.
The closest food options are back in Escalante to the southwest, or north to Boulder.
