Planning spend a day North Bay? If you enjoy hiking, you might consider visiting Duchesnay Falls. It's scenic and neither too strenuous (for adults, might be too challenging for small children) or too long.

West Duchesnay Falls Trails
Planning spend a day North Bay? If you enjoy hiking, you might consider visiting Duchesnay Falls. It's scenic and neither too strenuous (for adults, might be too challenging for small children) or too long.
Hosts recommendation - Pack/apply insect repellent.
This one's a bit of a trek but if you've planned a longer stay and are looking to get out for the day consider this natural landmark. A 2hr drive to Cobalt, and a 25 or 45 minute hike (two trail options) will have you taking in views of Lake Temiskaming from atop a 300' rock cliff.
Host's recommendation - Pack/Apply bug spray, watch where you step, keep an especially close eye should you choose to bring kids - there are no guard rails.

Devil's Rock
This one's a bit of a trek but if you've planned a longer stay and are looking to get out for the day consider this natural landmark. A 2hr drive to Cobalt, and a 25 or 45 minute hike (two trail options) will have you taking in views of Lake Temiskaming from atop a 300' rock cliff.
Host's recommendation - Pack/Apply bug spray, watch where you step, keep an especially close eye should you choose to bring kids - there are no guard rails.

For lovely views of Lake Nipissing in North Bay consider walking the path along our waterfront on Memorial Drive. An ice cream shop, stroller friendly paths, beaches and playground can be found along the way. Please note that some attractions may only be accessible in summer months.

Looking to support local during your stay? Want to shop locally grown produce, indulge with freshly baked goods, peruse crafts made by unique artisans? You can do it all at our award winning Farmers' Market! Open 10AM-2PM on Wednesdays, and 8:30am-1pm on Saturdays during summer months.
Host's recommendation - While the Wednesday market is still worth a visit, the Saturday market features a larger of vendors.
