Nice safe tidal estuary for swimming or swim at the beach. Can hire kayaks & paddleboards to go up the estuary or take your own. Also do kayak tours to Puhoi Village from here but you must book beforehand. See Puhoi Kayak Tours

Great trip up the Puhoi River - we started at Wenderholm Regional Park and finished in Puhoi. Then went to Puhoi Pub across the road for a bite to eat and a well earned beverage.
