Food Scene
Boulder has been voted the "Foodiest Town in the U.S" by Bon Appetit magazine. There are more excellent restaurants and Happy Hours than I can list here. The following are just a few of my favorites, in no particular order, most within walking distance.
Rated Best Pedestrian Mall in the U.S. Most of the excellent restaurants in Boulder are found on the Pearl Street Mall. Summer months are quite entertaining on the Mall with dozens of street performers and live music. Wednesday evenings is Band on the Bricks = live band performances. Each week a different cover band.

Don't miss the General Store with a real cracker barrel. The Gold Hill Inn in a great family owned dinner restaurant in an authentic gold mining town. Friday nights = live music, typically Bluegrass/Americana. Call for hours.

My favorite restaurant in downtown Boulder! Their Happy Hour is one of the best in Boulder with excellent hot and cold tapas and very good wine and drinks discounted. Try to eat outside on the patio, otherwise a bit noisy.

Great coffee and outstanding bakery in a charming sidewalk and patio location! Sunday mornings there is live music on the patio that starts at 9 or 10 am. Only a 6 minute walk from the cottage.

Excellent gourmet Mexican food with a New Mexican flavor. The owner/chef won Best Chef in America, Hosea Rosenburg. They serve up take-away breakfast burritos on the patio that are super good! Walking distance makes it more fun.
