Lokrum is a beautiful island facing the Old Town port. Ferries to Lokrum leave every hour from the Old Town port and it takes only 15 minutes to get there. Lokrum is a perfect getaway from a busy city since it is peaceful and its nature is untouched. The island of amazing nature offers a botanical garden, restaurants, kayaking tours and of course, you can take a swim or just walk to the highest point of the island where the 19th century Royal fortress is. The fortress offers the most astonishing views of the Old Town. On the island you can also pay a visit to a Benedictine monastery from the 11th century inside of which you can find a Game of Thrones throne and take a picture or two. Lokrum is also a favorite place amongst us locals to spend our free time!
