We love to take advantage of the 1/2 off Sushi Happy Hour Special at the bar area. Excellent views of the ocean and beach. The restaurant also provides incredible views.
This is also the beach we go to get out of the trade winds in the afternoon. You can sit on the grass in front of the restaurant and the Mauna Kai building blocks the wind.

This is a great beach park with large grass area for playing Bocce ball provided. Enjoying sunsets, safe for the whole family with showers, bathrooms, picnic tables and life guard.
If you start your drive to Hana early enough enjoy this park and great hike 2 miles one way through bamboo forest to huge waterfall. Pools are easy access from parking lot. Instead of turning around to head back consider continue going aournd the island toward Kula. Dirt road in sections but plenty safe plus you get to enjoy the sunset as you travel back to Kihei.
