Grass Valley has a lovely historic downtown that is fun to explore. Lots of shops, restaurants and historic buildings. About 20 mins or so from the property. Parking can sometimes be challenging, but worth it.

Rollins Lake is a short 10 min drive from the property. There are boat rentals, kayak rentals, plenty of swimming and boat launch. If you navigate to Rollins Lake boat rentals you will come to an area before you turn off Rollins Lake rd where you can park for free and swim etc. Or, you can enter the official area and pay a fee. They have a little store, an area for swimming that has a slide and boat rentals.
