The only mosque in Gjirokaster to survive the 1967 ban on religion. It was used as a circus for a local troop of acrobats and performers in the 70's. Today it is the center of our Muslim community.

This is my favorite house in Gjirokaster! It is a well preserved tower house from the Ottoman period, which exemplifies the UNESCO World Heritage of Gjirokaster. 200 Leke entrance.

Food Scene
Excellent traditional food at very reasonable prices! Kujtim and his wife Sylvana have run this restaurant since the early 90's. Service is slow, but everything on the menu is excellent.

Nick's Pizzeria (Kreshnik, the owner's full name, was a "Giant" of a man in Albanian mythology). He makes really good pizzas, including a vegetarian one for a very good price.

Excellent food and atmosphere here at Taverna Kuka! The food is very reasonably priced and the place has become quite popular with a local crowd.
