An absolute must, if you feel like a drive this 40 min trip is definitely worth it. World famous markets that will not disappoint. I love to soak up this atmosphere wandering the stalls with my chai latte in hand when I visit my Mum in the area.

A great day out for the family. A place just full of rides and fun for all the children. There are minimum heights for some rides so just check before you go.

With copious amounts of shade, BBQS and cafes it’s everyone’s paradise then watch it transform into a fun lazy afternoon vibe as the bands come out to play.

Currimundi Lake is an absolute must for families or anyone just wanting a relaxing day on the water. Hire some kayaks or SUPs and head down for the entire day. With copious amounts of shade, BBQS and cafes it’s everyone’s paradise then watch it transform into a fun lazy afternoon vibe as the bands come out to play.
If you’ve never picked and eaten perfectly ripe strawberries fresh from the fields then your missing out. This is such a fun afternoon out for my family. We always try to get here at least once a season and gorge ourselves on this deliciousness. Make sure you check when it’s open. Picking season is June to October and only Thursday-Sunday, but subject to Covid restrictions.

One of our closest patrolled beaches, enjoy the stroll up to this beach, or jump on your bikes for a perfect family friendly day. The little ones can play in the creek whilst the older ones can bring their surfboards or boogie boards and enjoy the waves.

Kings Beach is fantastic when you want something a bit busier than just your local beach. It definitely has something for everyone, about a 5 minute drive from your stay it has a bustling patrolled beach, countless cafes, fantastic fish and chips, parks, hotels a great beginner surf area at happy valley and some yummy gelato to finish the day with.

Kings Beach
Kings Beach is fantastic when you want something a bit busier than just your local beach. It definitely has something for everyone, about a 5 minute drive from your stay it has a bustling patrolled beach, countless cafes, fantastic fish and chips, parks, hotels a great beginner surf area at happy valley and some yummy gelato to finish the day with.
If you love a morning walk then one of our favourites is doing the boardwalk walk all the way to Shelly Beach. It will be a stunning 7km all along with ocean views. We like to take the kids and the dog and grab a coffee at “between the flags” at dicky beach on the way home.

If you don’t want the kids complaining of rashes on their stomach make sure you pack their rashies when you grab the body boards and surfboards.
