The story says it's the place where they took the wood for Jesus' Cross. An amazing natural scene. I recommend to walk a bit there and feel the history. Bring something to sit on on the grass.

Try the Ben Sira Hummus, best hummus in town, and check out The Sira Pub, a nice cozy Pub. I recommend drinking Alma Beer - Cheap and yummy :)

An amazing food scene and Bars. Go there on Friday morning to absorb the Market scene-many people all over and oh, the diversity!
If you go there before the Shabbat starts you can see how the place, which was so crowded before, getting empty really fast once Shabbat comes and people start getting ready for Shabbat meal.
At night time the place is filled with Bars. On Thursdays it could be too crowded though, depends on what you're looking for you can go by other days so it would be less crowded.

If you look for a fancy restaurant with Chef-rated food, check it out. The famous Asaf Granit is its chef.
It is quite expensive.

It's Arabic, and the best place to get it at is Jafar in the Muslim quarter of the Old City.
