If you have a rental car you can also try la playa de Maro. Close to Nerja, it's one of the nicest beaches in Malaga province.

The "Baños del Carmen" are an old health resort, currently converted into a restaurant. It has a decadent but charming air. Right in that space there is a small beach that we like to go to and enjoy the views of the bay.
