We are lucky to sit on the doorstep of Ham Hill Country park - once an iron age hill fort, its active quarry supplies the distinctive Ham Stone which much of the local houses are built from. Possessing a pub - The Prince of Wales, with great food and local ales, the views are magnificent, the walks incredible, another must visit! Look out for the distinguishable monument sitting atop the hill that is visible from the surrounding area.

Ham Hill RoadWe are lucky to sit on the doorstep of Ham Hill Country park - once an iron age hill fort, its active quarry supplies the distinctive Ham Stone which much of the local houses are built from. Possessing a pub - The Prince of Wales, with great food and local ales, the views are magnificent, the walks incredible, another must visit! Look out for the distinguishable monument sitting atop the hill that is visible from the surrounding area.
We are 20 miles from the nearest beach and in my opinion the pick of the bunch is Eype. Just past Bridport the village of Eype is off the beaten track and therefore doesn't have the same vast amount of visitors as other local beaches.
Eype is one of the few beaches on the South coast that actually has some sand on. It lies on the heart of the Jurassic Coast and hence provides great coastal walks and views! The perfect place for a day out!

We are 20 miles from the nearest beach and in my opinion the pick of the bunch is Eype. Just past Bridport the village of Eype is off the beaten track and therefore doesn't have the same vast amount of visitors as other local beaches.
Eype is one of the few beaches on the South coast that actually has some sand on. It lies on the heart of the Jurassic Coast and hence provides great coastal walks and views! The perfect place for a day out!
This beautiful spot is perfect for a wild swim. Find about 330 feet (100 metres) of flower-lined water on the River Brue, ending with a weir and a bridge you can jump off. The village church is nearby, so be respectful.

Saturdays at Burrow Hill Cider Farm
The home of the Cider Bus and the taste of Glastonbury festival. People of all kind are welcome to Ciderbus Saturdays on the farm. If there isn't live music in the orchards there may be a circus piece or a visiting traction engine. Whatever the weather you are in for a treat!
