Walk to the end Squaw Peak Rd and you will drop into the Shirley Lake Trail. You can walk in a short distance to waterfalls or walk all the way to the top of the mountain to take the Tram down.

The lake is not to be missed.
Floating the Truckee River is not to be missed. The river offers clear water coming off of the lake and round trip expeditions are offered. We usually bring our own tubes but you can float it anyway and be happy to be on the river.

Kid friendly activities
We love Squaw because it is easy to take the kids into the Village to play or grab a treat. It is also easy to bring a little bike to scoot around or play on the jungle gym behind Le Chamois under the Tram. Additionally, the river behind the condo is an amazing spot to get a way to cool off without going too far!
