Geothermal hot springs are best enjoyed at low tide.
Here you will notice a half sand and river rock beach with small stone pools along the low tide water line.
Small pits have been hand dug and stoned off to create a warm pool as the cool sea water mixes with the hot earth just inches under the sand.

Natural Hot Springs of El Sargento
Here on the beach close to the sea, just inches under the sand, is a geothermal hot spring.
Geothermal hot springs are best enjoyed at low tide.
Here you will notice a half sand and river rock beach with small stone pools along the low tide water line.
Small pits have been hand dug and stoned off to create a warm pool as the cool sea water mixes with the hot earth just inches under the sand.

6 of the top 10 Hiking and Mountain Biking trails in all of Mexico are located here. I recommend the Punta Gorda Trail, from the access road is about a 2 mile round trip and plan for about an hour, a beautiful scenic hike up and along the Sea of Cortez.
