Walking distance to amazing tacos, fresh lime margaritas and one of the best bowls of queso and fresh chips you can get! La Holly is a mezcal, tequila, and whiskey bar located far enough down East 6th that you won’t come across many crowds (which we love) While the back patio is where you should spend most of your time here, there’s also a long bar inside where you can do a proper mezcal tasting if that’s your sort of thing. There are taco trucks out back too, which means you can basically spend an entire afternoon or night here without having to leave. Highly recommend the Al pastor tacos, the brisket taco and the queso! Dogs welcomed inside the bar and outside!!

My favorite tonkatsu broth ramen in the world is blocks from the condo. They do to go and now dine in! First bowl ever Tatsu the owner says do the #1, or the Mi So Hot for the ones who love spicy! Jump next door to Domo Gato Alley and get drinks if you want to hang more! They’re connected :)

Make a reservation before you arrive a few weeks in advance through their website . It’s where the locals like to go. It’s romantic, huge outdoor space with French food and cocktails 🍸 Go when they open at 6 and grab a spot and dine at the beautiful bar inside. It gets busiest at night. The bowl of bolognaise spaghetti 🍝, duck confit and the burger are all solid choices .. it’s one of those places where literally everything is good and consistently delicious.

It’s the original bungalow that was uprooted from Rainey when they needed to make way for condos, but now with more outdoor space and way fewer UT students. Even though it’s further east than most places on this list, it’s worth the extra five minute bike or Uber ride. It’s never too crowded, but there are always enough people to make it feel like a house party you’d actually want to be at.

It’s never too crowded, but there are always enough people to make it feel like a house party you’d actually want to be at.
