This is our favorite lunch spot, located just down the street on Arkansas and US HWY 24. Italian style deli run by two sisters (sorelle Italian for “sisters”) making artisan sandwiches and irresistible homemade desserts. We rarely leave their deli without taking home something sweet like their caramel cheesecake or heath bar cookie.

This is a popular spot located inside The Trailhead retail store. The staff is incredibly friendly. Enjoy your meal inside or on the massive patio. Andy’s favorite dish is the Steak stroganoff. We love their margaritas (if you are ready for a real fiesta, order a grande, lol) and if you're lucky, you will be served a free “dessert” (wink wink). Andy is a whisky connoisseur and has the opinion that 99% of micro distilleries are sub par. It was to his surprise how truly impressed he has been by the quality of whisky at Deerhammer. They make all kinds of cool small batch whiskeys like the cocoa nibs but Andy still prefers the tried and true black label American single malt. Plus their patio in the summer is always a good time including extra food options from locals fav burger food truck, Buena Viking.

Or for the experienced, why not hit one of the many 14ers surrounding Buena Vista. Before you get started, get fitted at The Trailhead for all your Hiking and Backpacking equipment.
We have Snowshoeing, Cross country skiing and Ski Skating all within a short drive from town. If you have your own equipment the mountains are yours. If you need to rent or need advice on where to go, the Trailhead (2 min walk from Airbnb) will help you out.
