The BEST donuts we’ve ever had! Their apple fritter, bavarian creme, and bear claw are our favorites either for breakfast or a quick dessert. If you’ve never had a texas sized kolache, try out their jumbo jalapeno and cheese kolache - so good! They also have an amazing bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. And if you’re looking for a hangover cure- they’ve got red bull and coffee to go with the breaded goods to get you started on your day!

Our favorite coffee shop that rivals any Starbucks. Our personal favorites are the Vietnamese iced coffee, Jubilee Brulee (similar to a caramel frap), or the french toast latte.

Grocery Store
HEB is our local grocery store and will have all the basics you need plus more. Some of our favorite items there are their pre-packaged meals that you can just pop into the oven after a long day at the lake, their HEB branded ice-creams- which we happen to think are better than the blue bell, or their two bite brownies when in stock! This is extremely close so if you forget anything, it’s only 3 minutes away!

Have you seen the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie?! Grand Central Cafe is the actual building that the movie was filmed in. This was moved to Kingsland, TX, and is now the Cafe. We love stopping by for a sandwich or burger for lunch or their chicken fried steak! They also have a full service bar if you need a place to unwind.

1010 King CtHave you seen the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie?! Grand Central Cafe is the actual building that the movie was filmed in. This was moved to Kingsland, TX, and is now the Cafe. We love stopping by for a sandwich or burger for lunch or their chicken fried steak! They also have a full service bar if you need a place to unwind.
Live music can be heard sitting outside our balcony on Fridays and Saturdays from Wakepoint. If you want to get up close to the action, you can quickly drive over the bridge and hang out and watch the live music, have a drink, or grab some BBQ from the food truck. Go through the convenience store to the open lawn or a little further to the upstairs barn. We love going there just to hang out with friends and listening to music with a cold beer.

There’s a full bar plus live music, so you can spend quite a bit of time hanging out there. We love to grab a drink, look out on the water, and just snack on their sweet potato fries!

7203 Park Rd 4 WIf you are looking for grub after a swim at the lake, there’s nothing better than a delicious burger or chicken fried steak at the local Hoover’s Valley Cafe in nearby Burnet, which is one of the few remaining relics of a long-forgotten town.
This place is delicious!! The pizza has great flavor/texture and an assortment of toppings. The pizza is made to order and is very fresh. This location is easy to find, located next to the HEB. The restaurant has plenty of seating for walk ins. There is also an area for parties as well as an arcade in the back. The staff is friendly and easy to speak with. Out of the handful of pizza places to visit in Kingsland, this location is top of the list.

Developed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), the park’s star attraction is Longhorn Cavern, an underground wonder created by the dissolving and cutting action of an ancient river.
Enjoy a guided cave tour, hike a Hill Country trail, and admire some of Texas' best examples of historic CCC architecture. It's all part of the story of Longhorn Cavern State Park.

"The Slab" is a popular gathering point on the Llano River just upstream from Kingsland. There is plenty of sand for sunbathing, picnics, games, etc. The water is shallow and perfect for wading. It is a great place to bring the children.
The lazy Llano River drifts over large outcroppings of granite which creates pools of inviting, cool water during the warm summer months. Near the bridge, currents begin to pick up speed to flow through narrow row siphons. The water then gently cascades down the river into Lake LBJ.

Slab Road"The Slab" is a popular gathering point on the Llano River just upstream from Kingsland. There is plenty of sand for sunbathing, picnics, games, etc. The water is shallow and perfect for wading. It is a great place to bring the children.
