New South Head Road divide Double Bay Village into 2 section with Woolworths, Dan Murphy’s and other major retailers and a multi-storey carpark servicing the Council Library. The doyennes continues to dominate the glitzy Intercontinental Double Bay as well as what is considered the traditional heart of DB’s Cafe Society on the village left with a smattering of fashion boutiques and specialist shops - far cry from its halcyon days where Sydney Society came to Double Bay to see and be seen. Currently undergoing one of its many periodic upgrades by the Council, Double Bay continues to find relevance in the lives of the monied set of Sydney.

1 City, 2 Centres, 3 CBDs, 4.. & a partridge in a pear tree.

Sydney, what a glorious mess! Consistently ranked as a beta global city, Sydney is not what it seems and all that glitter is not gold! Sydney actually has 2 city centres depending on your point of reference with a commercial hub each recognised as the CBD. Although not officially recognised, North Sydney is Sydney’s 2nd CBD. Ask any Sydneysider.. Bradfield in Liverpool is to be the 3rd Centre with an airport/ CBD. Confused yet?

Gateway to Sydney via airport

If your entry point to Sydney is via either domestic or international airport, the best way and most economical way is still via the train network. Catch the train from either Domestic or International (Green T8) to Central Station and catch the Eastern Suburb (Blue T4) on Platform 26 to Edgecliff Station. A stone throw from Edgecliff station to the apartment or the taxi rank outside the train station if you have many luggages and need assistance.

Watch a performance at the Sydney Opera House..

It’s practically a cliché but a visit to Sydney is not complete without a few pictures of the Sydney Opera House designed as a performing arts centre and there is no better way to engagé and experience the magic of live theatre.. Forget the guided tour and lived a little!
