This is a cool, quirky take out spot with outdoor eating in the summer. It is located on the corner of West Road and Castle Island Road just outside of Belgrade Lakes (the middle of nowhere, lol). If you take a drive down Castle Island Road, you will see a beautiful view of where upper and lower Long Pond meet. It is one of my favorite views of the lakes. There is also a place to put your boat in on Castle Island as well as a hidden little hike there that only locals know about. Ask me if you are interested. :-)

In the winter this is a local favorite spot for sledding, xc skiing, and snow shoeing. Beautiful sunsets and views of the lakes. The painting in the bedroom at the cabin is based on a sunset from a xc ski with my daughter at sunset. :-)

Mount Phillip trailhead
636 Rome RdA relatively easy (but steep slope) and beautiful hike rewarding you with a nice view of Great Pond.

This is where I taught my partner to xc ski. I haven't hiked there in the warmer months because there is so much to do right where I am. But it was a great place to xc ski. :-)

My kids went to this camp and I enjoyed many an afternoon sitting outside at the "Bowl in the Pines" - the outdoor amphitheater. They also host the Maine Hockey Classic in the winter as well as other activities and events.
