15 minutes from where you will be staying! They have the ability to make snow so it really does not matter if we are getting a lot of snow naturally - They make as much snow as they can all winter long..... Skiing, snowboarding, ski school. Fun for everyone.

A quiet little pond that was, at one time, used to get ice blocks for ice boxes, before refrigerators! While on your rides you may see turtles, fish, blue heron, muskrats, ducks, and if you are really lucky a Bald Eagle!

They have stocked ponds so everybody catches something! The staff will help with cleaning so if you don't know how to do that - no worries! Once you have taught your kids how to fish you are all set to take on any stream in the Catskills - and there are many. Fishing is a great sport. The season on fishing is April 1 - October 31.

Margaretville is a small town in the Catskills. It has several local shops and artisans. There is hiking all around the area. There is a CVS and a Dollar General. No public transportation or taxi so you will need a car. If you come up on a bus then you will need to rent a car. Night life is limited.

Private vehicle. There are no buses, taxi's or subways!
Margaretville has one stop light. It is a small town. If you get confused as to where you are going, just ask somebody.

The water is excellent here, so no need to buy bottled.
I use a refillable thermos and just carry my ice water wherever I go.

The ticks in this area can be ridiculous!
Please check yourself and your kids after being outside, and before you go to bed. My grandson had 13 ticks on him when he came back from a hike this summer!
