A lovely little woodland walk that backs onto Clowance Estate. This is a 15-20 minute walk away (one mile from the end of our lane) from the farm so you can even leave the car behind!

I love this walk - it’s a proper adventure that weaves between engine houses and mine stacks. This is one of the most historic locations in mining history. You can even stop off for a coffee or some lunch at the Croust Hut at King Edward mine (highly recommended!). Around 15-20 minutes drive away.

Great Flat Lode
Filtrick LaneI love this walk - it’s a proper adventure that weaves between engine houses and mine stacks. This is one of the most historic locations in mining history. You can even stop off for a coffee or some lunch at the Croust Hut at King Edward mine (highly recommended!). Around 15-20 minutes drive away.
A beautifully historic place to visit. I’ve spent many years of my childhood visiting this place. The bluebells in spring are certainly something to see. It’s about 12 minutes away in the car.

The magical place that is St Michaels Mount - if you go up the mount, it’s the perfect view for dolphin spotting. I also recommend visiting The Godolphin Arms for lunch, with a perfect view of the mount and dog friendly.

Our favourite beach. This is the only beach in Cornwall that has a church on it; it’s been used in film, most recently on Poldark. The rockier side of this place ‘Dollar Cove’ is dog friendly all year around. This is a 20-25 minute drive away - we visit quite regularly.

One my favourite quick coffee and cake stops. An incredibly friendly all-vegan caravan positioned right on the estuary meaning you can combine it with a lovely walk along the estuary or on Hayle Towans. Be Kind The Vegan Coffee Caravan
One my favourite quick coffee and cake stops. An incredibly friendly all-vegan caravan positioned right on the estuary meaning you can combine it with a lovely walk along the estuary or on Hayle Towans. One of my all-time favourite places to eat. This is an all vegan cafe situated at the Mount-Pleasant Ecological Park in Redruth, Porthtowan. They grow all their own food onsite and offer a wide range of food and do Tali curry nights and Reggae Roasts on Sundays, all with live music.
