It doesn't get any closer than this if you are looking to satisfy your thirst or hunger. The portions are not big but the idea is that you order several small plates. The food is great.

This is one of the most famous neighborhoods in the whole country. It sits on top of a ridge between the two lakes Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi. Amazing views, colorful architecture, and beautiful nature will be worth your visit. While you are there make sure to visit the Pyynikki observatory tower and Cafe Pispala.
This park is great in the summer and winter. There are small farm animals in the summertime and a large ice-skating area in the winter. Good fun for the whole family.

Walking is the best way to move around

Alcohol is only sold between 09:00 - 21:00
One thing that can come as a surprise is that supermarkets won't sell alcoholic beverages after 21:00. So if you want to enjoy a cold beer you need to head to a bar or buy them before nine.
Another thing to know about Finland is that wine and all alcoholic drinks stronger than 5.5% are only sold at ALKO liqueur stores. They do have a good selection and you can find the closest in the Ratina Shopping Center. Just be aware that on weekdays they close at 20:00 and Saturdays at 18:00. Sundays they are closed.
