Westport is the local nightlife. Riot Room is a great venue with shows just about every night. Char Bar, Beer Kitchen, and McCoys are great dinner spots. Harry's and Westport Ale House are favorite bars. They block the streets off on weekend nights around 10pm so it is only foot traffic, no cars. So make sure you take that into consideration.

Power and Light, or P&L, is a bit more expensive but makes for a great night! This is where the KC Live Block is that hosts concerts and Royals playoff watch parties.

Beautiful and free. Great art and so much history! There is also seasonal festivals held here. Locals love to have picnics or throw a frisbee on the enormous front lawn. You'll know you're at the right place because of the giant shuttlecocks!
