As well as stocking the usual essential items; milk, bread, cheese, eggs, butter, canned goods, dry goods & toilet paper etc, there is a good selection of frozen meats and fresh ingredients. Oh and ice creams, meat pies, milk shakes, surf wax and lotto.

Carole the cook rustles up crisp and crunchy chips, fresh fish in homemade batter, a mean burger (GF buns on request) plus all the other goodies like mussels, hotdogs and squid rings. She can be busy (a good sign) so best to phone through your order before hand.

Sited on the edge of the Waikato river, the large trees and well kept gardens provide a peaceful shaded sanctuary. It is well worth a stroll through if you are in any way green fingered, and the views out across the river are fantastic.

Field fresh in Tuakau sell the freshest fruit and vegetables in the area. And they usually have some more unusual varieties available; purple carrots and fresh turmeric are my favs. They also stock a good selection of olives, gherkins & pickles plus olive and other oils, dried fruit, nuts and grains, plus gluten free items.
