We love the second floor wine bar all year round, but in the summer, the cozy front patio feels like an outdoor living room. You’ll have a great view of Mount Charles Stewart, Lady MacDonald and Grotto Mountain. Spend the evening trying share plates (we love the fancy popcorn with truffle oil and the classic PEI mussels in a white wine cream sauce) and exploring different flights of wine.

You’ll have a great view of Mount Charles Stewart, Lady MacDonald and Grotto Mountain. Spend the evening trying share plates (we love the fancy popcorn with truffle oil and the classic PEI mussels in a white wine cream sauce) and exploring different flights of wine.
At the base of the imposing Mount Lady MacDonald, start your evening off with a cocktail on the Silvertip patio, overlooking the 18th hole. If you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of some elk or even a bear. Move inside for dinner, and be sure to order some Alberta Beef (Rustica was voted best steak in Alberta by open table in 2014).

In the summer, Murrieta’s has a wall of windows they can open up, and the view of the Ha Ling Peak and the East end of Rundle is stunning. If you aren’t too full after dinner, we highly recommend you say yes to dessert and try the flourless chocolate cake with a sour cherry compote and vanilla tobacco cream ( it’s amazing).
