The city is pretty tacky in its amusements and wax museums, but the falls are spectacular and worth a visit. Hotels have good deals but the food is usually very expensive. If the 'Hornblower" is running its a fantastic way to experience the falls and goes right up to them. Wet and wonderful experience - raincoats provided. The gardens around the falls are also quite wonderful.
