Spectacular views of the water running quickly over the rocks makes for a dramatic scenery. Bring your swim suit if you want to jump in.
Cross the street to the other side and you will find Bear Den Hiking trails, good for shorter walks in the woods.

There are mountain bike trails, or snowshoe and hiking trails depending on the season on Hardy Road. The parking and trails are clearly marked on Hardy Road.

There are two main lakes in Lake Placid. Mirror Lake is near the town. Lake Placid is north of town. A walk down main street for some shopping or eating is always worth the visit. There is a public beach for a summer swim, in the winter there is dog sleds, toboggan runs and ice skating.
It's a great place to take the Kayaks.
