Wellington is a vibrant city with so much on your doorstep when you book our bnb. Parliament (as pictured ) is an easy 10 minute walk.
The Wellington Botanic Garden in Wellington, New Zealand, covers 25 hectares of land on the side of the hill between Thorndon and Kelburn, near central Wellington. The garden features 25 hectares of protected native forest, conifers, plant collections and seasonal displays.
There is also a lovely cafe called picnic cafe amoung the gardens. The Thorndon entrance is a 15 min walk or a 3 min drive with free 2 hour parking.

A 5 min walk from our air bnb you can visit her birth home which is open to the public everyday Except Mondays. Katherine Mansfield House and Garden was the early childhood home of Katherine Mansfield, a prominent New Zealand author. The building, located in Thorndon, Wellington, is classified as a "Category I" historic place by Heritage New Zealand.

Wellington's easy to get around by foot/ bus/car/uber/ taxi
Our Air bnb is very well located with a bus stop around the corner which goes to the central bus station (or you can walk to the central bus station in 10 mins). The central bus station is opposite the central train station if you choose to get a train to Petone for the beach or shops and great cafes or the wairarapa wine region.
