This is a local fav- you might think it's a run-down shack if you don't know what you're looking for. There is a blue toilet out front that serves as a flower planter. The burgers and fries are just incredible, and the beers are kept in an ice-filled bathtub. It's definitely a place to remember. Note: seating is limited, and locals know this. They open for dinner at 5, and the line starts forming on the porch at 4:30.

If you are in the mood for a great steak, this one is for you. The smoked sirloin is a personal favorite. The fresh rolls are tricky because you could easily fill up on them.

This downtown spot is great for lunch. I always order the classic club- it's big enough for two. And the hand-cut fries are a must!

Cajun flair right in Amarillo- there's no wrong thing to order, but my personal favorite is the fried shrimp poboy. New Orleans is my favorite city to visit, and this place does a great job rivaling that distinct flavor.

There is no shortage of Thai options in Amarillo, but this place is the best in my opinion. Their pad thai is amazing. My husband likes super hot/ spicy, and their toom yum noodle soup makes him but out in a sweat.
